Ferndale Area District Library leadership and the board of directors reached the decision to close in an effort to help mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus. We will be monitoring the situation and providing further updates as circumstances change.

Library materials should be returned to the outdoor drop box . Materials are being quarantined for three days, and will be checked in without fines.

We encourage patrons to use our online services while the library is closed. Links to these resources are available here: There are e-books, e-audiobooks, movies, music, and magazines available in addition to online courses and other educational materials.

If you encounter issues with your library account that keep you from using these services, please email the library at or call 248-546-2504 and leave a voicemail. Staff will be monitoring these inboxes and helping patrons as they can.
